2026 Winter Festival Raffle

Harry Hook is Singing the Sun Down

Arrive early for Lakes Lights and join us at the Slipway from 5pm to sing the sun down with Harry Hook is Real. Grab some mouth-watering eats from the food shacks and gather with family and friends to enjoy the tunes while the sun sets, before the spectacular Lakes Lights lantern parade departs at 6pm. Who knows, the Sea Hags might even make a guest appearance - we hear they love a crowd, and a boogie!

Bruthen Medieval Market & Kids Fancy Dress Parade

Step into a day of medieval magic at the Bruthen Medieval Market on from 9am - 4pm. Browse artisan stalls, enjoy delicious food and family entertainment, and soak up the festive village atmosphere. Kids can join the Fancy Dress Parade at 11am, with prizes for the best dressed.

Gippsland Jersey Winter Dip

Slip into your bathers and join us at the Slipway in Lakes Entrance to beat the winter blues with a cold dip in the Gippsland Lakes! Boost your mood, clear your head, and prove you’re tougher than you think. The vibes are always high and the community connection is strong.

Metung Igloo Experience

Bancroft Bay Distillery in collaboration with TheLocal Metung will be providing an igloo experience on the Metung Village Green as part of the Metung Winter Festival. Includes a three-course dinner and drinks held over 90mins. Starting with baked brie and sourdough bread paired with a welcome cocktail.

Metung Winter Festival

The Winter Festival is back in Metung, celebrating the best of winter with delicious comfort food, warming drinks, live local music, and family-friendly fun on the Village Green. Enjoy everything from a VIP igloo experience and a lively dumpling eating competition to giant lawn games, kids’ activities, and a magical lantern parade by the lake. Don’t miss the live wood carving demonstration, with the masterpiece to be auctioned off at the end of the evening!

Embers & Ales: The Long Night Feast

As the nights stretch out, we gather at Sailors Grave for a Yule-inspired long-table feast with Paul West. Fire-cooked dishes built on East Gippsland and South Coast produce, matched with Sailors Grave beers brewed for the cold. Come hungry, share the table, and take part in a simple ritual: write down what you’re leaving behind and cast it into the fire.

Litter picking up has never been such a laugh with accompanying Happy Wanderer clowns. This fun, family-friendly clean-up invites everyone to take part in protecting our local environment by transforming Waste into Art. Just bring your curiosity and community spirit to the Lakes Entrance Foreshore! Then on Sunday, transform the Litter into Art

Mitchell River Gourmet Packraft Trip

Come and enjoy the wilderness of the Mitchell River National Park, by gliding down the river in a packraft. This trip is suited to the adventurous beginner or those with some paddling experience. This is a 10 kilometre paddle, with lots of rapids, adreneline, fun and a gourmet lunch along the way at the Old Weir.

Come and experience packrafting through the wilderness of the Mitchell River National Park. This is a great trip suited to the adventurous beginner or those with some paddling experience. A trip for women only, feel supported and nurtured as we experience the beauty and serenity of the river. This is a 10km trip on Grade 1 - 2 whitewater, and adreneline and excitement abound. We stop for lunch at the historic Glenaladale weir, before continuing on downriver to the finish.
