Tree Planting with Landcare – Flaggy Creek
Are you looking to help our environment? Well so is the East Gippsland Winter Festival! That’s why, here at the East Gippsland Landcare Network, we’ve teamed up to assist in their aim to become more sustainable by planting a range of seedlings.
Over 5 planting dates, we’ve got 5,000 native indigenous seedlings to get into the ground on properties around the area. These aren’t just trees but a mixture of species to ensure that healthy ecosystems are established with biodiversity at the forefront of mind.
So … can you help??? Just spare an hour or two and help us get these plants started. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, bring gardening gloves (if you have them) and dress appropriately for the weather. There’s a free BBQ lunch too!
Email Matt from the East Gippsland Landcare Network to let us know if you can make it along with any dietary requirements and Matt will reply with the address.
