The Great Alpine Scarecrow Competition
Get creative and be part of The Great Alpine Scarecrow Competition — a fun community project encouraging locals, families, schools, businesses and community groups to build imaginative scarecrows and display them proudly throughout the region. Using recycled materials, old clothes, straw and plenty of creativity, participants are invited to create unique scarecrows to showcase at homes, mailboxes, gardens, businesses or public spaces.
To enter, simply take a photo of your completed scarecrow and email it to
alpinescarecow@gmail.com
during the competition period. All entries will be uploaded to The Great Alpine Gallery Facebook page, where the community can vote for their favourites through online likes and shares.
A free community scarecrow building workshop will also be held on the Junction Hotel lawn in Swifts Creek, offering materials, inspiration and hands-on help for anyone wanting to join in.
The Great Alpine Scarecrow Competition is a celebration of creativity, community connection and playful public art across the region.
