Tambo River Tapestry Weaving Workshop

Learn to weave tapestry on a rigid heddle loom, and create a woven image inspired by the water and life in and around the Tambo River. Tying in to the Dance of the Water Dragon events at the Great Alpine Gallery.

All materials and equipment are included for this beginner-friendly workshop, no prior experience needed.
Skills covered will include:

General weaving terminology
Weft-faced tapestry-style weaving
Colour blending and creating gradients
Adding additional features such as unspun wool and rya fringes.

There will be a selection of wool, alpaca and cotton yarns. If you are unable to use wool/alpaca please advise so that I can ensure enough cotton is supplied.
