Nourishing Traditions Sourdough

Join Kirsten in a beautiful lakeside location on Raymond Island as she shares her unique sourdough recipe together with the skills required to start your own sourdough bread-making journey.
Kirsten has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share in nutrition and healthy living. Baking sourdough bread has been a natural response for Kirsten to the challenges of living a healthy life with an autoimmune disease. It’s also her joy to share how easy it is to make sourdough baguettes and crackers and to serve your seasonal harvest lunch.
The workshop includes:
• Fresh bread to taste on arrival

• Sourdough starter culture
• Your own cooked loaf and sourdough crackers to take home
• Seasonal harvest lunch and local wine

Interesting note: traditional sourdough bread-making involves fermentation for many hours during which up to 90% of the gluten is broken down.
