Mindful Nature Alignment Walk with Jo
Join Jo from Sol Synergy for an opportunity to reconnect with nature right near the water in Metung to help bring calmness, clarity and balance. As part of the Nature Alignment Walks, you will be immersed in nature and learn some simple ways that you can practice at home to feel healthier and happier in your everyday life.
Our health and wellbeing is linked to our connection with nature. When our lives get busy, stressful or an event impacts you significantly, we can lose the connection with nature we need to have balance, harmony and calmness. By reconnecting with nature, being present and slowing down we can benefit from the therapeutic power of being in the natural environment.
Your guide will facilitate a sensory and creative experience using a blend of activities to focus on slowing down, being present and awakening your senses to reduce stress and improve wellbeing. The sessions will include some indoor and outdoor activities, so be sure to rug up. The walks involve some activities where you may be sitting for a period of time so ensure in this cooler weather that you have warm clothes (including beanies, gloves, scarf, waterproof jacket and layered clothing). Meet downstairs at Metung Yacht Club.
What to bring: Closed-toe shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals), hat, wind and rain proof jacket, small bag to carry your equipment, a small mat to sit on, water, sunscreen, hand sanitiser, insect repellent and any required personal medications.
The walk will cover approx. 1-2km, there are some steps and inclines, as such an average fitness level is required. The walk is designed to be slow paced, inclusive and low impact. The session is designed for participants over 12 years of age.
