Mallacoota Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice at MA Space Gallery
19–21 June
Step into a three-day Winter Solstice gathering of art, making, and quiet reflection. Across the weekend, the gallery is open daily from 10am–8pm, hosting The Turning: A Solstice Experience – an immersive sound and light installation tracing the passage from darkness toward the return of light. Visitors are invited to move gently through the space and contribute a personal wish to a growing collective work.

Friday begins with a free afternoon Crafternoon – focused on sustainable making, including basket weaving, yarn bombing, and Knit Happens: The Solstice Blanket, a collaborative community project. At 5pm, Mallacoota P–12 College presents a projection of student artworks, with refreshments.

Saturday offers a series of creative workshops open to the community (some ticketed).

On Sunday, the Mallacoota Healing Singers close the weekend with a 5pm – 6pm performance, followed by shared refreshments.
