Krowathunkooloong Keeping Place Twilight Tours

Join us for an immersive evening experience at the Keeping Place in Bairnsdale where visitors are invited to connect with local Indigenous culture, stories, and Country, as day turns to night. Led by local cultural leaders, the tours guide guests through the Keeping Place, sharing knowledge, artefacts, and lived histories in a respectful and engaging way.

As the sun sets, firepits are lit to create a warm communal space for reflection, conversation, and connection, allowing visitors to sit together and listen to stories under the night sky. Visitors may choose to take part in guided tours or quietly reflect at their own pace, experiencing the space in a way that feels meaningful to them.

Twilight tours run each Thursday evening of the East Gippsland Winter Festival from 4pm–7pm, offering a structured yet relaxed opportunity to engage with the program. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, take part in the welcoming atmosphere, and engage respectfully with cultural protocols guided by Gunai Kurnai hosts throughout the evening.

Bookings are appreciated.
