Gippsland Pelicans: Citizen Science

An educative presentation by Tour Guide Skipper Pete about Gippsland Pelicans. Skipper Pete has been assisting Birdlife Australia and DEECA with regular monitoring of Pelicans over the last 5 years.
The one hour discussion will focus on current research and citizen science projects including the use of numbered red bands on a Pelican’s leg.

Participants can purchase drinks or snacks from The Boat Shed Cafe before or during the event.

If the weather is suitable, Skipper Pete will conduct a short walk to a nearby boat ramp to view Pelicans.
