Cave Songs: Subterrane

Raven & the Dove return to Buchan’s Fairy Cave for their new show “Cave Songs: Subterrane” – a 30 minute audio-visual experience blending original music, visual projections, soundscape and spoken word, set within the natural ambiance and acoustics of the Blackwood Chamber inside Buchan Caves.

Inspired by the cave’s 380-million-year-old creation and set amongst its limestone landscape, David and Cindy’s performance is an intimate, immersive and truly unique experience.

The warm, womblike cave (constant 17 degrees) is a refuge from winter, inviting us to experience the dreamlike threshold of being between two worlds: above and below, inside and outside. The descent into the cave offers a space of possibility between the known and unknown, before exiting back out into the world.

• Accessibility: 25 step staircase. Standing only for 30 minutes.
• Please arrive at the Visitor’s Centre 30 minutes prior to your session time.
