Capturing Winter

A filmmaking workshop that goes beyond the classroom. Learn to tell meaningful story and capture cinematic video on any device. Practice your new skills at the winter festival, then be a part of it when our film is projected on the streets of Bairnsdale.

In this three-hour workshop presented by local documentary filmmaker Ash (from PEOPLEwho), you will be moving around the landscape scouting locations, sculpting the light, and trying to capture some magic. In a short time, you will learn some essential techniques to help you tell a great story on whatever device you own.

When the workshop is over, that’s when the real magic begins. As a collective, we will be participating filmmakers at this year’s winter festival, capturing footage for our film that will be projected on the walls of the East Gippsland Art Gallery.

This is a free workshop but spaces are limited.
