Band Weaving Inkle Workshop

A five hour workshop with all materials and equipment provided, no prior experience needed. You will make your own inkle-woven cloth band to be used as a bracelet, bookmarks, key-fob or as a piece of trim for other sewing and craft projects (especially historical crafts).

Skills covered will include:
– Warping an inkle loom
– Reading an inkle pattern
– Getting neat selvedges and even weaving
– Tips on colour combinations
– Simple finishing techniques

Suitable for ages 10+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult).

We will be using 100% cotton yarns. Minimum class size of 3 persons applies, in the event that the minimum is not reached the class will not run and we will contact you to either refund or carry over to another suitable booking.
