A Suite Afternoon with Friends

Twenty years ago, Wendy Burns and Marian Bisset lived in Toowoomba, QLD and had made a name for themselves as piano duettists. Fast forward to 2024 and Marian Bisset now is the Frontier Services Bush Chaplain for the High Country Region and invited Wendy Burns to present another piano duet concert in the East Gippsland region.

The repertoire includes Mother Goose Suite (Ravel), Le Petite Suite (Debussy), and by Australian composers The Puppet Show Suite (Carmichael) and The Cocktail Suite (Easton). They are joined by Nick Williams (flute) to present Rhapsody in B Major (Rheinberger). The afternoon will open and close with different arrangement of the familiar Waltzing Matilda.

Join Marian, Wendy and Nick in the Swifts Creek Hall for the concert and stay on to enjoy afternoon tea provided by the Swifts Creek Bakery and supported by Frontier Services.
