A Lakeside Stroll & Fireside Sketching Session
Park & meet Ingrid at Nungurner Jetty. Dress appropriately for a short lakeside wander with a small group. Wear warm and rainproof gear.
Walk, looking with fresh eyes, drinking in the lakeside environment, taking in some of those details that artists see – the grey wintry skies and play of light on the water and boats, the trees that frame sweet, small views. Smell the lake, listen to its sounds. Collect a few of nature’s treasures, a pebble or a feather, a mushroom or zoom in and snap an image.
After a short wander, walk 100m up the road to Ingrid’s tranquil studio perched in the trees overlooking the jetty and lake. Whilst enjoying a glass of wine, or hot drink and some nibbles around the wood heater, enjoy an inspiring chat about possible ways to record your impressions and capture the essence of something you collected along the lakeside. See some inspiring examples of other artists sketches in a variety of styles.
This activity is suitable for beginners, who may have always wanted to learn to draw, those who may have drawn in the past and long to get back into it, and more experienced artists. Treat yourself to the luxury of spending a couple of hours losing yourself in an activity that transports you into a wonderful space. A variety of multi media drawing materials will be provided.
Ingrid is an inspiring, enthusiastic artist & trained teacher. Her studio is only suitable for small groups – these intimate classes enables her to give each student the individual support they require. A small group, maximum 5 people, adults only. Book early.
