The East Gippsland Winter Festival returns 20 June - 20 July, 2025!

Experience HOW WE WINTER in East Gippsland as the region comes alive in a month-long festival of luminous art, epic winter feasts, trestle bridge soirees, lively music, dark skies, roaring fires and cold plunges.

Incorporating Winter Solstice and the Winter School Holidays, the fifth annual East Gippsland Winter Festival will present one of the largest winter festival programs anywhere in Australia, offering something for all ages and a memorable winter getaway with family or friends. Choose from over 100 different events, right across East Gippsland.

Expect beautiful hand-made lanterns, projection art that augments reality, live music in unexpected places, engaging pop-up events, long lunches and winter feasts in spectacular locations, creative hands-on workshops, wellness experiences overlooking lakes, on-foot adventures and much more.

Dance the Winter Off: Latin Dance Day

Shake off the winter chill with rhythm, movement and joy! Dance the Winter Off is a one-day event. Enjoy a series of fun, beginner-friendly learning classes led by passionate instructors. Cuban salsa, cumbia, merengue and more. Just come ready to move, laugh and connect.

Twilight drinks in steampunk style on the Snowy Rail Bridge. Enjoy steaming spiced bevvies, live music and finger food, with an unforgettable atmosphere at an incredible location. Come and celebrate the new life of this grand historic structure in vintage-industrial style!

Paynesville Lantern Parade & Street Food Fiesta

Experience the magic of the Paynesville Lantern Parade and Street Food Fiesta! Enjoy a glowing lantern walk along the foreshore, tasty street food from local eateries and food trucks, and buskers at various locations along the Esplanade. A vibrant night of community, food, and music awaits!
